The idea behind this project was to identify and show the interaction between people and an object, in this case a book from the LCC library. Exploring the marks and changes that were made to individual pages became the evidence of this interaction.
Throughout the book, anonymous people had left their marks in the forms of annotations and underlines. Each page was retouched to remove all printed text and leave just the added line and words. Over 300 pages were retouched to create these images. Individual pages were then overprinted onto each other to create a birdseye view of the additions to the book.
